Do your paper pallets need to be treated?
We understand that when exporting using wooden pallets, they need to undergo treatment (either through chemical or heat) to control pests that might be hiding in wood; this shouldn’t be applicable to paper based products including our paper pallets. In other words, paper pallets don’t need to be treated.
Who usually uses these?
Most, if not all our customers using paper pallets are exporters (PEZA and /or BOI registered.) They range from electronics manufacturing to beverage bottling.
How much can your paper pallets carry?
Depending on the design, we've engineered our paper pallets to be able to withstand as much as 1,500kg (1.5 MT) of dynamic weight.
What are the available sizes?
Length and Width are fully customizable. Height is standardized due to our proprietary design: 145mm for 2-way.
Standard sizes are the same as other pallets: 1200 x 1000 mm, 1000 x 1000 mm, 1100 x 1100 mm, etc.
How do you handle your pallets?
Paper pallets are mainly used as a more cost effective means of shipping your products one-way (compared to wood or plastic.) Meaning you don’t expect your pallets to return to you. This is why they are mostly used for exports.
While they’re designed to transfer your goods from your site to your end users’, these are still considered “disposable” and they are to be treated as such.
For users who require long term, heavy in-house use pallets such as moving goods within their factory, we still recommend using plastic pallets.
How do you or store your them?
Storage should be similar to how you store your corrugated boxes. As much as we would like to tout our products’ capabilities, paper is still paper so please avoid high moisture/ humid environments.
Our customers are worried about disposing these. Can these be recycled?
One major advantage of using UFMC Paper Pallets over others (including other paper based pallets) would be your end customer/ user’s ease-of-disposing. Unlike wooden, plastic, or again, even other paper based pallets which usually use metal staples, UFMC Paper Pallets are fully recyclable and should be able to be dropped off or picked up at your end user's nearest paper recycling center.
How often do you produce your products?
All our products, including paper pallets are produced on a per PO basis. Lead time usually ranges from 10 - 14 working days to 14-21, depending on the qty and size.
